About trip in Mongolia

Two years ago I went to Munkhhairkhan Mountain which is the second highest mountain in Mongolia with tourists from Holland. To reach the mountain we have to cross the Gobi desert. In the middle of the Gobi my car had broken completely. First our driver tried to fix it himself. But he found the problem was with the engine. It can be fixed only in Ulaanbaatar. There weren’t any mobile phone signal, river, even shadow. There was terribly quiet except noise of the wind. There are many paths in the territory of the Gobi without any sign. We stayed there for 4 days and 3 nights. During that time we didn’t see any car, motorbike even animals. Fortunately the nearest town was 25 kilometers in the east. So our driver walked there with an apple and a little bottle of water. It was mid July very dry and hot in the Gobi. He saw the town but it was still very far because Gobi is so flat. When he reached the Gobi he almost had fallen down. Then he directly went to the post office to call travel agent. The manager arranged another car to pick up us. If it comes from Ulaanbaatar the car will drive more than 700 kilometers costs more and takes time. So the manager could connect one driver who lives in Gobi Altai province which is in the west of us. The problem was how new driver find us in the middle of the Gobi. Even our tourists had GPS the new driver hadn’t. My tourists were absolutely optimistic. They didn’t blame any thing even our driver we all tired our best. We played card game and drew some pictures and took some photos. Next day early morning we heard noise of car guess who it was. The new driver found us. We said goodbye to the old driver. Later on I asked from the driver what happen after that we left he told he stayed there more seven days and called the lorry from Ulaanbaatar. We said again goodbye to new driver because we stuck in the river of mountain. The car’s engine filled by water. Before become dark we all took our stuffs from the car. The river was above 1m deep. Mongolia isn’t easy place to travel. If you want to come you have to be enough optimistic and don’t afraid to interfere any situations. It is the one of the unique place in the world. If you searching real adventure Mongolia is the one of the place you should come.

Deer stone

Moreover 600 deer stones were found in central Asia. Deer stones were probably originally erected by Bronze Age nomads around 1000 BC. At the top of the stone there is the sun and the moon it presents the sky in the main body there are images of flying deer, and belt with weapons at the bottom presents underworld. Our ancestors believed the deer are half birds which carry the spirits of human to next life.

Khadag, blue silk

Most common thing is used in Mongolia is blue scarf made of silk we called khadag which is originally from Tibet. But Tibetan khadags are usually white symbolizing the pure heart of the giver, though it is quite common to find yellow gold symbolizing sun. In Mongolia khadag is usually blue symbolizing sky. It is used all occasions for example weddings, funerals, births, graduations, arrivals and departure of guests. It also often tied to ovoos, stupas, or special trees and rocks.

Mongolian spot

From ancient time Mongolians respect the blue sky. Mongolians say we have a stamp from the blue sky. Mongolians have congenital birthmark it is colored blue. This blue spot also appears in Native Americans. We have the same ancestor. It appears also in the East Asia. During 13th century estimated 15 000 Mongolians attempted to conquer Japan. But they couldn’t reach their goal because of the ocean storm in the Sea of Japan. For the duration of the time about 200 ships of Mongol were lost near the Japan Island. Therefore some Korean and Japanese people have blue spot as result of the 13th century Mongol empire. One funny thing happened to my aunt when she used to leave in Saint Petersburg. She was a student there. She got married and had a girl there. She used to give her children to the kindergarten. One day her daughter’s teacher said to her. They didn’t do anything wrong to her child. That time they surprised that why she is telling this. Soon they found out they are talking about the blue spot. It disappears when children are 3 to 4 years old.

Thank you for your wonderful information about khadag on your internet site. It was extremely helpful. I do have a question, however. Are the khadag's ever worn on the body, or are only used ceremonially, as gifts, and so forth?

Thank you for taking the time to answer this question.

Loretta

hi Loretta

Thank you for your e-mail and asking me question. where are you from? what do you do? why do you need this information interesting!

We never wear the khadag. But some people hang on their shoulders or decorate their clothes for religion purpose. Yes we mostly use ceremonially, as gifts, tight it special tree and animals. There are some animals with tight khadag, that means the animal never is killed by someone. It will die naturally. The animal is respected. The tree is the same idea. You mustn't cut the tree. If you do that something bad will happen to you. You may get sick even die. There are many reason to tight khadag one of them is have many babies.

Good luck

Sorry my friend

One time I did something wrong to my school friend when I was in Erdenet city. That time I was only grade 6. I had two good friends called Naraa and Azjargal. During that time there was a boy who was good at studying and quite handsome in my class. I wrote a letter instead of the boy to Azjargal. Managed the time to meet with him. Before I didn’t know she likes him. That time she asked us to be there where the place in the letter with her when she meet with him. Of course he won’t come. Because he didn’t wrote it. While she was waiting him she showed his letter from very secret place where was under her brassiere. The letter became very old as she read it many times. That time I realized what I did. Actually I didn’t want to do any bad thing to her that was only for fun. That time I hadn’t got a brave to say the truth. Later on I never say about it. Now I’ve still felt sorry to her. I don’t know she remembers this until today.

Mr. Einstein

If I met Mr. Einstein I would ask these questions. Maybe he would answer like this.

Would be the world different if you weren’t born?
I think so yes. Understanding energy and speed would be the most important thing in the future. Of course one day other people could be discover my theories. It would take time. I’m not sure how much time is needed. Actually it is very hard to visualize life today without my discoveries.

Did you work on nuclear bomb project which happened in Japan?
First I would say no. Because I really didn’t play any role in that project. But my theories were used to create the bomb. That is true I wrote the letter to the president Roosevelt about my idea of nuclear bomb. But I couldn’t take any support.

If you were a woman what would you do?
He smiled. I would be the one of famous woman scientist. I have no idea about my appearance. Maybe I would lose some period of time of my life with my babies. But I would never leave my husband alone. Interesting!

What is your religion?
I believe in shamanism. Even I am Jewish. I really interested in universe and nature. Sometimes I talk with nature and sky’s spirits. We all come from nature so we should keep clean our environment and respect nature and blue sky. There are three big differences between Shamanism and other religions. First there isn’t any book whereas other religion have books like Bible, Karon, Sutra etc,. Every religion has accommodation such as monastery, church, Monck whereas there is nothing. Every religion has leader for example Buddha, Jesus, Mohamed whereas there is no one.

What would you say to the teachers who expelled from school?
Every people different from each other. When teacher asks questions from student people as well as teacher thinks one who answered quick and correct is the smartest student of the class but in fact some students work slowly. As time goes slow students usually forget something slowly too.

Mr. Einstein

Your text is very good. I don’t believe he (as he wife) would get married. I think she would not find a husband. Men are afraid of smart women. Therefore, you could say that the male population is the stupid half of the planet. If you look at the picture, it is not pretty too.
